Teign Cottage Shaldon
Shaldon Situated on the mouth of the River Teign. As one of the loveliest villages in Devon, it has retained it's old English style, where visitors can watch bowls played on the perfect village green, overlooked by one of the village pubs.
There is golf up above the Ness, or a walk along the South West coast path towards Torquay, where the views across the bay to Exmouth, Dawlish and Teignmouth are breathtaking. Shaldon has a lovely sandy beach from where you can take a foot ferry across the mouth of the Teign to explore Teignmouth, the ferry has been in operation since the 13th century.
Pubs, restaurants and cafes are first class, offering delicious food made from local produce in their menus. There are weekly craft fairs during the summer months on the village green and various children's entertainments. The famous Shaldon Regatta week is also a pleasure not to be missed! There is something for everyone in this gorgeous village, plus many delights to be explored further afield.
Teign Cottage is a delightful, Grade II listed thatched cottage situated at the heart of the village with views to the beach, river and Teignmouth from the living room and main bedroom. Lovingly restored, it is a beautiful character house, ideally situated a few steps from the beach, and close to restaurants and amenities, in the heart of the picturesque seaside village of Shaldon.
As a cob cottage, it enjoys all the benefits that that brings with an even temperature summer and winter and it is a very healthy beneficial environment to spend time in. This is a fully equipped, centrally heated accommodation and all bed linen and towels are included, as is gas and electricity.
